Installation
- Upload the plugin files to the
/wp-content/plugins/wp-image-to-webp-converterdirectory, or install the plugin through the WordPress plugin screen directly. - Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ screen in WordPress.
- Go to Media > Convert to WebP to configure and run conversions.

Will this overwrite my original images?

Only if you choose the overwrite option. Otherwise, new WebP images are created as separate attachments.
